This spicy chai has a base of Vitamin C rich rosehips as opposed to black tea which gives it a tangy twist. Added to them are circulatory stimulants such as chilli, ginger and black pepper which give it a fiery kick and get the blood pumping - essential for these cold winter nights. Aromatics such as cardamon, star anise, cinnamon and orange are blended in to aid digestion and add flavour.
Most of these herbs and spices are quite drying and some may find they irritate the digestive tract so to counteract these effects the soothing and moistening roots of marshmallow are also included in the mix.
